Front Range Waldorf School announces the

Inaugural Green Auction to support "Organic Education"

Saturday, November 8 2008

Lakewood, CO - Going Green - it's clearly the way to go but it takes more than hugging a tree and buying recycle containers. With so many progressive "green" companies providing services and products that promote sustainable living - you might be asking - how does one jump on the "Mother Earth bandwagonâ" and get started "going green?"

One of the "greenest" schools around - Front Range Waldorf School (FRWS) - offers some answers on Saturday, Nov. 8 at its fundraising "Green Auction," hosted by Solterra Luxury Homes, Lakewood, CO. With a new twist on the fundraising auction, "Green" companies - including presenting sponsor Phillips Performance Nutrition (www.FullStrength.com) - will donate hundreds of items and services that support the sustainable, environmentally-friendly lifestyle. All auction proceeds are donated to the non-profit Front Range Waldorf School.

From home building products and alternative transportation to local dining, spas and everything in between - supporters will find all the "Green" they need to help the environment and to protect our children's future. Sustainable & eco-friendly companies can still sign up to network and donate their products and services to be showcased in the auction.

In addition to the auction, attendees will enjoy the keynote presentation "Simple Ways To Green Your Home & Lifestyle," presented by Julie Zacha Brodsky, co-founder of the World Green Institute and President of Parallel Design Group: Sustainable Design Firm. Adam Blanning M.D., founder of the Denver Center for Anthroposophic Therapies, will also present "Waldorf Education: The Natural Advantage for our Children." Throughout the evening, visitors will enjoy the sounds of local singer, songwriter John Erlandson & the MPR All-stars. Master of Ceremonies for the evening is former Mr. America, Tom Terwilliger.

All proceeds from the "Green Auction" benefit the Front Range Waldorf School's mission to provide "Organic Education." Waldorf Education is designed to evolve naturally and be a harmonious integration of academia and expression, while providing a natural advantage to its students. By supporting Waldorf schools, donors support a natural advantage to our shared future.

The Waldorf School's Green Auction to benefit Organic Education kicks off Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, 6 - 10 p.m. at the Reserve at Solterra, Alameda & Indiana in Lakewood.
